Olá! I’m Jessyka Marques

But my friends (that includes you!) can call me Jessy.

Born in the charming town Goiana, Brazil, I fell in love with photography at a young age. My mother always had a film camera in her hands, and I was always so excited to open the photo albums she created for our family memories. I began to follow in her footsteps, taking endless pictures with my Cybershot camera.

Since moving to the U.S. with my husband, Miguel, my love for photography has only grown. I became a professional San Francisco Bay Area photographer in 2019, working mostly with couples to start. Then I had my own little one, Liam, and my heart turned toward family photography. Seeing parents get emotional over photos that show their children’s unique personalities is my very favorite thing. (Because I know how it feels!)

I believe you — and your family, and your home — are perfect just as you are. I don’t want to erase the parts that make you you. I want to bring out the beauty that’s already there, and give you authentic photos that remind you of this messy yet magnificent season of life.

I don’t use Photoshop to change your face, create a fake background, or make you look ten years younger. I also don’t photograph with Instagram in mind. I document what happens in real life, lightly edit each photo to look its best, and deliver images that feel organic, emotional, and true. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’m your gal!
